Mission Statement

The mission of the student health center is to provide school based health services through treatment, wellness education and preventative services in an applied learning environment.

About our Student Health Center

(Pictured below: Sonia Pacheco, RN and Pam Ziolkowski, BSN, RN)

The Health Center grew out of the need for school health services at Bruce-Guadalupe Community School (BGCS) in 1994 and is currently located in the lower level of UCC across the hallway from the fitness center. We are a safe and caring resource for students at Bruce Guadalupe Community School and UCC Acosta Middle School. At the Student Health Center, we assist with students' physical, mental and emotional health as well as medical needs that may arise throughout the school day. The staff includes a health room assistant and Carroll University registered nurses and occasionally, Carroll University nursing students, who will welcome our students. We work together as a team to provide quality care, promote health and control diseases. We help bridge the gap between student's health needs/ concerns and education. There is no direct cost to students/ families who use the Student Health Center.
